One-of-a-kind and hand carved by a local Lindsborg carver, these beautiful spoons in the Swedish tradition are the perfect addition to any kitchen!
Made in a very limited series, you’ll want to pick up one of these very special carvings, which Lindsborg resident Jon Zehnder shaped of reclaimed wood from a redbud tree that had to be removed from museum grounds in late 2022.
Two types are available:
-A large serving spoon more than 11 inches long, and a tapered handle canted at about 30 degrees.
-Your choice of a smaller traditional “eating” or “pocket” spoon – just about 6 inches end-to-end – of the type that would be carried by a Swedish worker to have at-hand for mealtimes.
Each spoon has been finished with an attractive food-safe tung oil finish appropriate for daily use. They are hand-wash only with a mild dish soap (not for the dishwasher).
With proper care, this will be a treasured family heirloom for years to come!
