Old Fisherman’s Bait Recipes
Adam Pracht, ed.
Old Fisherman’s Bait Recipes reproduces a handwritten manuscript from the mid-1950s in the artifact collection of the Lindsborg Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum in Lindsborg, Kansas!
The 70-year-old handwritten manuscript was written in fountain pen on yellowing paper. This reproduction booklet includes old-fashioned bait recipes, angler folklore, and fishing tips and tricks! We think these are likely the very recipes that the Runbeck Brothers were making and selling in the mid-1950s as part of their bait business, even as the flour mill was coming to an end.
Now you can enjoy this rare piece of Smoky Valley History, guide to fishing, and angler folk wisdom.
