Would you like to learn how to get started researching your family’s story? You’ll learn the basic research process, great online research sites, local resources, and ideas for collecting and sharing your story with family.
Your Presenter
“Pursuing YOUR Past” lead researcher Sue Schlichting is a native Nebraskan who has more than 20 years of research experience. She has expertise in Midwestern research with emphasis in homestead records; as well as Quaker, Swedish, and German research. Sue enjoys sharing her passion for family history with young people through interactive experiences and tours. The “Family History Detective Roadtrip” is a popular workshop shared with teens across Kansas for more than 10 years. She developed the Sch-Nel Family Newsletter in 2004 and has continued to serve as its editor. Sue is a genealogist, public speaker, teacher and mentor.
